Watch the read aloud for the book, “Play with Me” by Marie Hall Ets https://youtu.be/lcZPJu92rYY Discussion questions after listening to the story- Did you notice how some of the pictures showed reflections? What other things show reflections? Do you think real-life animals act the same way the animals in the story act? What are some of the things that happened to the baby raccoon? How do you think the raccoon felt during the adventure? Would you rather have an adventure by yourself (like the raccoon) or would you rather have your family along? Watch the read aloud for the book, “Dreams” by Ezra Jack Keats https://youtu.be/jz81UqUQN_Y Discussion questions after listening to the story- What do you think Roberto might have been dreaming about? A shadow can’t hurt anything. Why do you think the paper mouse’s shadow frightened the dog? What do you think might have happened if Roberto had not had a mouse? What might he have done to scare the dog away from the cat? After reading, have children retell the stories to you, using prompts and pictures as needed. Math: Number Sense-
