Hello K1 Families,
It has been a very busy week for K1. The children are doing a good job adjusting to the routine of the day and meeting new friends. The children had their first gym class with Mr. Killinger and music class with Mr. McLellan. Some reminders: Please label all clothing, lunch boxes etc. If your child gets milk at lunch please pack a drink for snack time. Children should have a drink for both snack and lunch. If possible please pack the snack in a separate bag. Please do not send candy for snack or lunch; that would be a nice treat for at home. I am sure you will have concerns as we move forward. If it is something quick we can talk at the end of the day. We ask that you wait until all of the children have be picked up before coming to us. If you have something that you think may take more than a few minutes we can set up a time to meet. K1 A has 21 students; 10 girls and 11 boys, K1B has 20 students; 9 girls and 11 boys. On Monday we will begin Opening the World of Learning(OWL), Unit 1 Families. Each unit will run for about four weeks. By the end of the week every child will have worked in each center.
