Hello K1 Families,
We are so proud of K1, they all did a fantastic job in the Christmas concert! We hope you and your family enjoyed it as much as we did. The children have been busy like Santa's elves working on Christmas projects this week.
*Important Reminder there is NO SCHOOL Thursday December 22nd. There will be Extended Day on Wednesday December 21st.
When we get back from vacation we will be working on OWL, unit 3, Wind and Water. Centers for that week will be:
Science Center--Playing with Goop: Uses a variety of materials to strengthen hand grasp, flexibility and coordination. Uses classroom materials purposefully and respectfully.
Math Center--Shape Memory Game.
Social Studies Center--How Would I Change the World, Relate to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: Children will create earth using blue and green ink, they will be asked what they can do to make the world a better place.
Puzzles and Manipulative Center--Making Clothespin Fences:Engages in dramatic play, uses language to sustain play with peers.
OWL Books: Gilberto and the Wind, One Dark Night, Rabbits and Raindrops, Over in the Meadow and Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain.
OWL Songs: Open Shut Them, Five Little Ducks, What are you Wearing, Looby Loo, The More We Get Together and Come On and Join in to the Game.
OWL Poems: Raindrops, Three Little Monkeys, Boom, Bang!, Stand Up, Cloud and Diddle, Diddle Dumpling.
Religion: Three Kings Worksheet
Tuesday: Music, Latin and Greek Roots Challenge; Path, Patho, Pathy
Thursday: Library with Ms. Teresa or Spanish with Ms. Mora

*Friday January 6, 2017 is Early Dismissal at 12:00 Noon. There will be Extended Day, please sign up in advance. We will be attending the school Mass for the first time on Friday January 6th- we will be leaving shortly after arrival. PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON TIME .
