Hello K1 families,
Some important reminders:
On Wednesday, October 31st, K1 will celebrate Halloween with a party during our snack time and participate in the Halloween parade. Because this is an all-day affair, children who normally leave at 11:30 are welcome to spend the day. Please remember to send a lunch and drink if they stay for the day. Please do not send any additional food or treats- we do not want the children to get sick from too many treats. The Early Childhood Costume parade will take place that afternoon at 1:30. We will cross at O street and East Broadway, we will walk up East Broadway, cross at N street and walk down East Broadway. Please have your child in costume coming to school that day. All Children will be dismissed from school at 2:15 (unless attending extended day). Children can wear comfortable clothes or their uniform under their costumes. We will be taking costumes off if children become hot during the day. Children should wear SNEAKERS no costume related shoes, NO masks or costume props (swords, wands, hulk hands, etc.) should come into school. A letter will be sent home next week.
