Hello K1 families,
Some important reminders: Our Halloween Party will be during snack on Friday October 30th. Children should wear costumes to school with comfortable clothes underneath.
We will take a break from OWL this week to bring Halloween to K1 in our routines.
Centers for the week:
Math- Pumpkin Reports. The class pumpkins have been carved and the seeds have been dried. The children will work together to count the seeds and describe the pumpkin.
Art- Ghost Wind Socks
Science- Each child will trace own hands and paint bones onto them with Scooby snacks.
Print and Language- Each child will read and color a "Bat, Bat, What do you See" booklet.
The letter of the week is Ff. *There will be no show and tell this week.
Tuesday- "I can Touch" from our religion series "I am Special", Music Class, Greek and Latin Root Challenge New Root- Vis, Vid
We will continue with Halloween activities throughout the week during the afternoons.

Parent Information Night- November 4th 6:30- 7:30 PM: Please join us and learn more about The Lynch Foundation's Early Childhood Project here at South Boston Catholic Academy. Experts from the Project will be here to share how it has supported our teachers in providing an environment that nurtures the social and emotional well-being of all our students in order for effective learning to take place.
Parent Conferences will be held on December 3rd from 12- 7PM. We will provide more information as the date approaches.
