It is hard to believe that we are already getting ready for Easter. There is NO SCHOOL on Good Friday, March 30th and on Easter Monday, April 2nd. Friday, April 6th is an early release day 11:30.
Re-enrollment forms were due on March 9th, please submit to secure your spot.
Next week children will be participating in Holy Week activities, as well as, Easter Themed activities.

Next week we will be continuing OWL Unit 5 Week 2, Shadows and Reflections. There is a tag day on Friday, March 23rd for Miss Molly who is running the Boston Marathon as part of Goodwill's Running for Great Kids Marathon Team. Children bring in a donation and have an out of uniform day and they can wear their favorite team apparel.
Centers for next week:
Art Center-- Cloud Paintings: Students will explore and experiment with wet media to create two-dimensional artwork. They will explore and experiment with basic shapes and lines in artwork as well.
Math Center-- Roll-A- Dough with numbers
Writing Center-- The Animal I Like Best class book.
Games Center-- Name Matching: Students will play a memory game using their names.

Next week we begin OWL unit 5, Shadows and Reflections. Centers for next week:
Art Center--Reflective Paper Collages: Creates two-dimensional artwork. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger in pincer grasp. Explores and experiments with dry media to create artwork. Children use reflective and non-reflective paper to create a collage.
Science Center--Looking for Reflections in Bubbles: Observes and explores materials in the environment. Investigates and describes states of matter. Performs tasks that require fine-muscle control.
Block Center--Using Flashlights to Create Shadows: Interacts with others appropriately by cooperating, helping, sharing. Uses language to develop and maintain relationships. Explores spatial relationships. Children will build various structures and use flashlights to create shadows.
Writing Center--Blank Books and Writing Tools: Writes for many purposes. Indicates own writing or pretend writing conveys meaning. Creates original artwork to express thoughts, feeling and energy. Children will write and draw freely in their blank books.
